Australia 108 Tower to be Highest in Southern Hemisphere
A controversial skyscraper called the Australia 108 Tower has been approved by Planning Minister Matthew Guy for the Southbank Precinct of Melbourne. The 108 storey tower is going to be a whopping 388 metres tall and will be a mixed use building featuring both residential units as well as a hotel.
The tower was designed by Nonda Katsalidis, who is also the architect behind the nearby Eurkea Towers, a 297 metre skyscraper. The plans have drawn ire from some towards Mr. Guy.
