First Prefab Housing Building Begins Construction
Prefab housing seems to all the rage now with some designers, and many major cities are looking at it as a way to fill in some of the tighter vacant areas. Developed by Jeffrey Brown and Kimberly Frank in collaboration with the GLUCK+ firm, this housing development is being dubbed the ‘Broadway Stack.’
Comprised of 28 apartments, they will be made out of 56 prefab modules that are currently being assembled in Pennsylvania. Building assembly should take 1 month with another 3 to finish the utilities and fixtures.
