Bedroom Storage

Bedrooms can be one of the least organized rooms in the house. They are seldom on display, they are often only used for sleeping and they just aren’t on the priority list when it comes to house hold chores. But having an organized bedroom will make finding things easier and will give your room a made over feeling. Clutter can often make people feel depressed so why not work to properly stow things and create a peaceful atmosphere in your bedroom. Here are some options for bedroom storage.

1. Under the bed storage- In many homes the floor space underneath the bed is either going to waste, lost to clutter and pennies, or the cat’s domain. If this is the case in your home, then it is time to rethink how you use that valuable space. Many home stores make storage containers or devices that are specifically for under the bed. Just think you could store blankets or seldom used sweaters under the bed, freeing up valuable closet space.

2. Wardrobe- Wardrobes were the first closets and today they retain the look of a closet in miniature, which is exactly what they are. Most wardrobes have a small rod for hanging items, shelves and some drawers. Wardrobes are great if you have a small closet and just need more clothing storage.

3. Bedside tables- Although there are many options for bedside tables, the best ones are those that come with drawers, shelves or cupboards. Also known as nightstands, these handy pieces of furniture are great for lamps, books and clocks. If you have one with drawers you can store any needed nighttime pills, a bottle of water, tissue, lip balm or any other things you may want at night.

4. The Wall- Attaching shelves directly to the bedroom wall provide great storage for either books or more decorative items like flowers and candles.
