Garages tend to be one of the most neglected spaces in the house. Nobody spends much time in the garage, it’s mostly for cars and storage, and really cleaning the garage is a task that seldom ends up on the weekend priority list. Sweep job- One of the easier things to do to make your garage more appealing is to just sweep it out. The garage is more exposed to the elements than any other space in your home so it is natural that there will be more dust and debris in the garage. Organize things- If you garage is full of random boxes in no certain order then it is time to order them. For a quick fix, simple stack the boxes against the wall or group them together in one corner. Organizing your boxes will give your garage a nice open feeling.

Paint- For the truly zealous, paint in the garage can brighten things up nicely. Many garages have drab walls that have no paint. If you want to bring some light and order into your garage start by adding a new coat of paint. The paint will make the space look more inviting and will make the walls look cleaner.

Insulation- Also for the zealous, insulation is a great way to way to create an inviting work area in your garage. So, if you are a handy man, car jockey or just someone who likes to putter in the garage, insulation will make the space warmer and more comfortable. Also adding insulation could make your home more energy efficient.
